Information – how to start your course

Below you will find information about conducting a driving license course in Poland:

Who is eligible?


Anyone who has lived in Poland for at least 185 days and as reached the minimal age to obtain B category, which is 18 years old.

Documents you need to prepare:

  • The application form for a driving license (download and fill out at home or do it at the government building. Helpful instructions on how to complete the application can be found at the bottom of the page in the „Download” section.)
  • Conduct a medical examination at a Doctor’s Office – you can do it here: http://psychotestyrzeszow.com.pl/badania-rzeszow-warszawska/
  • Clear photo of you – if you don’t have a recent one, you can do it with any photographer.
  • ID card or passport. If you are a foreigner, take your passport or residence card,
    written consent from your parents or legal guardian – if you are soon to turn 18.

Get the PKK number 

If you have these documents, go to one of two government buildings: 

They have English information and they will direct you to the appropriate stand, to get PKK number.

What is a PKK number?

PKK is your unique driver candidate profile – a set of data that identifies a person who wants to obtain a driving license. On the basis of PKK, offices, driving schools, WORDs and other institutions that take part in the process of obtaining a driving license recognize a candidate for a driver.

After you get the PKK number

  • Learn theory and pass the theory exam in WORD – you will receive from us all necessary materials, handbook and access to the best e-learning system, in English
  • After you pass the theory exam in WORD we will start practical driving – 30 hours in total, in 2h lesson blocks
  • After 30 hours of driving practice you can sing up and pass the practical exam in WORD – we can arrange a translator for your practical exam

What is WORD?

WORD is an abbreviation of Provincial Road Traffic Center. This is the place where you will take your theoretical and practical driving test. In Rzeszów its located on Al. Wyzwolenia 4 Street (https://maps.app.goo.gl/cqXebm6iiieNcSty9).
